I have just written to Jill Crooks asking she put my points here in the newspaper... on the letters page preferably. Regarding the article in the last weeks Gazette and Herald. I am shocked and dismayed that an organisation that calls itself a Museum is prepared to allow an Exhibition which is factually incorrect and biased towards the absurd premise that Aliens make the crop circles when infact it is the work of people. A museum should be trying to educate people towards FACTS and not fictions. What next - an exhibition on why the Easter Bunny is 100% real? The makers of circles have been filmed so many times and even been prosecuted for making complex circles is there any doubt to who is doing this? Is it really necessary to try and get money out of lying to the public about a myth. Is Devizes museum wanting to create its own Loch Ness Monster to boost local tourism and trade? Its shameful and shocking and those responsible for allowing this in should take a cold hard look at themselves and try and represent some truth and facts not the personal views and religious belief systems of wild eyed cuckoos and tin foil hat wearers. Celebrate the art of artists who make circles - that is a worthy cause. Why do you think the artists have held off doing any in Wilts this year? Perhaps a protest against Museums that cant tell the truth? I wonder! Celebrate art and artists and please dont promote idiots. Matthew Williams
