I have lived in this community for over 25 years and have learned over time that the LMOA board will do whatever they want in regards to burdening the community with dues increases that show little for the community as a whole. I am not a financial adviser nor do I understand big business. What I do understand is, we need to look at the burden these improvements will do to individual homeowners. With the reduction in property values and potential increase in already phenomenal water bills, is this really the time that we must allocate millions of dollar to fix amenities that are not profitable? Doing both of these major projects at this time does not warrant solid financial sense on any part. At this point the LMOA board needs to understand that costly amenities that do not support themselves should be eliminated. When this community was conceptualized it was envisioned as a retirement community. This is no longer the case. We need to move in a direction that is financially sound. It is time that the burden of the golf course be taken from the community. If it can be self sustaining, great, if it is not, it needs to be renovated into something that will not continue to drown us. These proposed figures are outrageous for the average person.
