I have no idea why Bibles are languishing on the shelves of our bookstores when Jesus is coming soon and people are on the streets asking can I get a bible to read? Couple weeks ago we posted about tract distribution and prayer in Half Way Tree & its environs & mentioned that many people were asking can I get a Bible? Or when asked whether they read the Bible replied I dont have a Bible. TIMEsigns is pushing an initiative to get Bibles in the hands of people. These days, the best tract you can hand to someone is a Bible. We believe the Bible and The Great Controversy should be handed out simultaneously. We suggested this to the publishing department at the East Jamaica Conference yesterday April 3,2014 and indicated that given that they have bibles on sale for modest costs of between $400-$700 they cld make arrangements with the churches so they could purchase them at an even cheaper cost in huge volumnes and put them in the hands of the members so they can distribute them. I am sure people can be inspired by articles in a priorities magazine but I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the study of the Bible transforms lives! Lets hope we will see this coming into effect soon firstly here in EJC. We are therefore inviting all members of TIMEsigns as well to get these Bibles on the cheap and to put them into the hands of people. So this is a pic with THE FIRST THREE BIBLES for distribution as a TIMEsigns initiative! They will be given to three persons spoken to in half way tree. One specially for a young lady who said I dont have a bible in my house and I dnt know much about it but my grandmother has one.The other two to 2 men who work in the streets.
