I have said it before that Indonesians do not like people to bark - TopicsExpress

I have said it before that Indonesians do not like people to bark orders (complain) at them, even when they are guilty of massive deforestation - and being a great contributor to global warming. I know the nature of rural Indonesians fairly well, myself having lived in Pekan Baru during my internment. Our Government would do well to handle this annual haze devastation sensitively, and never forget that Indonesians once upon a time landed in Singapore to cause mayhem (bombing) during the confrontation years. I think we should help them clear the forest, properly, since they persist in their deforestation culture. Singapore can jointly work with Indonesian enviro officials to setup a free forest clearing service in the month of June - but only for small plantation owners. We can consider stationing, in Riau, some bulldozers and other machineries. It will mainly be labour cost which isnt much because most of the clearing work will be done by machineries. The downed trees can then be buried under the earth and become organic fertilisers.
