I have to rant, my good friend Kelsey is 27 years old, has a four year old son and a boyfriend that has lived with her for over a year.. And its now been a year and a half and he still has not gotten a job. She can barely afford the health insurance that affords for her birth control.. Nor can she afford food or anything else because she makes a good wage, but she is also by her self supporting him and her son. but she just found a much nicer apartment for them, located in Hardwick. But the rent is 200 a month more than her last apartment that she already had trouble affording for in the first place. understandably, she wants better things.. We all do. And she deserves it! But theres this leach living with her that she loves, they get along great and they love each other and they are like two peas in a pod, but he is just the most absolutely useless incapable and not driven individual I have ever met in my entire life. She is at the end of her rope, as well. But now I am receiving emails from her just very frustrated and freaking out because she cant even afford her birth control. What is going on? I am Not sure what to say, I have told her a thousand times to leave this guy, and she knows she needs to leave him too, but her love supersedes her reality. & I am hoping that she soon sees the light and dump this guy for someone a little more stable and driven. all her life, she has gone for absolute losers.. But she finally has all the things that she has wanted, and currently has been at a job that she works very hard at for 2 years, she works at Elms college and has a really fantastic position there, in the maintaining division, but the cost of living obviously goes up all the time and it is tougher and tougher for her to survive. the only thing this guy is good for is watching her child while she works, and he doesnt even want to do that half the time. he was actually telling her the other day that he needed a break lol lol lol!! Because of her income, she does not qualify for food stamps or anything of that nature but little do they know, she is more than qualified because she has a mooch living in her home that claims to want to have a job and claims to fill out applications but then he still has somehow not found a job. How is this even possible?? I was unemployed for a maximum of 5 days just now and at the end of my job hunt by 3 days I received three different offers. & I am no one special at all, I barely even have a college education. can anyone give me words of advice? give me the wise words that I can say to her, to save her!
