I havent seen anyone reviewing the new Fat Cat in here yet, so Ill start you off. I went for lunch today with the husband & nippers (aged 8 & 1) and thought it was great! Had booked a table, and it was all set up ready with highchair and safe plastic cutlery for the smallest one. They have a special Sunday menu which is based around roasts but with alternative, fish and veggie meals too. Kids menu is still available or small portion roasts. The roasts were HUGE and great! I thought the pricing was reasonable, but they have a brilliant offer, £19.95 for 2 roasts & a bottle of house wine, which I thought was great value. No issues about taking the leftover wine home. Puds were good too, although I couldnt move by the time I finished, Id eaten so much. There was a slightly too long delay between courses, but we had only just registered that they were taking a while when the chap serving us came over to apologise, explain & tell us he was knocking the puddings & coffees off the bill. I thought his manner was exemplary and he dealt with it really well. Teething problems only to be expected and easily forgiven when theyre acknowledged so generously! Well definitely be back soon, its a great addition to Sherwood and Im chuffed its within walking distance.
