I heard this song today and smiled so big my face almost broke :) I couldnt help remembering all the times I listened to the Beach Boys while growing up, and every time I just knew that the sunny San Diego branch of our family was basking in the sun all day (in bikinis no less ;) ) and surfing instead of going to school. The mental image of my pen pal, Irish Princess cousin, Patti Mary Jones surfing all day, every day in the warm Cali sun was what warmed my heart as I walked to school in -40 degrees and 70 mph wind gusts (20 foot snow drifts on each side ;) ) in the depths of Glacier National Park. On those days when I wore the cool California hand me down clothes sent north from the cool Cali cousins, I felt even closer to Surfin USA ...and all of you :) I still dont believe you all went to school...I just know you had to spend every day surfing instead ;) Thinking of you with much LOVE Ms. Jones
