I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. As many know, I am a big fan of (cant believe Im typing this as a 39 year-old man) making mix cds. For holidays, for parties, for festivals.....sharing good music just seems to make me happy. I recently made holiday plans that ensured that I was going to see many of my close friends this new years (Go Panic!) and thought making another mix cd would make for a nice gift. On a somewhat unrelated note, Ive also recently learned about several close and dear friends that have been confronted, in one way or another, with cancer related peril, anguish, stress, etc. Without going too far down that road, let me just say, as someone who has watched family members deal with cancer related stress and fear, the Rapps have all of you in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season. Back to the music, while Ill gladly be giving out my 2014 Christmas mix cds to all that I see over the holiday season, Id also like to offer to send one to any of you out there on FB that might be interested. All that I ask in return is that you make some contribution to cancer research (check out cancer.org). Let me know youve made a donation and give me your address (via a private message), and Ill gladly cover the cost and postage to make/send you a cd. To those that I see in person, be ready for a similar request. Id let you know the song list in advance, but figure Im already on shaky ground, at best, when it comes to copyright issues. I think my record when it comes to the quality of the music, pun intended, speaks for itself. To that end, make a big donation, and Ill send you mix cds from years past/other choice events.
