I hope that the devastation of the fire last night makes many of joe public think Shit, why were so many dogs in the dogs home in the first place? I hope that they think Wow, so many rescue dogs in one place, I wonder how many there are up and down the country. I hope they think I didnt realise so many dogs were homeless, Im gonna neuter my dog. I hope they think I wonder if my local rescue needs volunteers. I hope they think Today Im gonna rescue a dog. There are far too many great dogs out there desperate for a home. I hope they think My landlord doesnt like pets - its ok Ill find a landlord that does. I hope they think My new baby is coming but its fine, I will be careful with introes to my dog. I hope they think Im starting a new job, I best start looking for dog walkers and get my dog used to being left for periods of time. I hope they think I love my dog and I will move heaven and earth to keep them. I hope a lot of things but hope will never be enough. Number of dogs on death row today: Unknown. But at least 20 will lose their lives today because their owners didnt think.
