I intended to post this via TDF but that might take forever. And yes, it is waiting for your submission to be posted on TDF that nullifies the adage Walang forever. It was my first time attending an event at the Abelardo - Messiah 2014. The said event was open to all and was for free. Now, I dont know where all the masses of people came from, but it doesnt really matter if you got invited by a performer, or whether youre from UP or not, I was with someone and we initially sat beside three girls. They were noisy, and all they did was laugh and chat - and they were on Facebook! I didnt mind as much as the program hasnt really started yet. But then music began playing. AND THEY WERE STILL ON FACEBOOK, CHATTING, AND LAUGHING OBNOXIOUSLY. We moved two rows below. Surprise, surprise. We could still hear them - even until the shows conclusion. We look around - young people not paying attention to the performances, all on their phones, just chatting along with their companion. Now, as I said, I dont want it to matter whether youre from UP or not, if you were invited by a performer or not, because we should all respect a performance and the people trying to enjoy it. So, please, if you only plan on enjoying free air conditioning while seated on a cozy theater chair, dont bother going to such events any more. Like I said, we can all learn how to observe proper behavior - it doesnt matter which school were from.
