I just got a little reality check: While I feel that community organizing and development, unity, conversation, are all vitally important for progress and change, it is MORE important for me to begin in my own house, with my own children, with myself, with education. Our conversations, which will inevitably (with hope and work) lead to our organization will do little without our own education and ECONOMIC backing. Truth says that money is what moves this country. So, instead of getting ahead of myself and improperly prioritizing I intend to educate myself and my children FIRST so that this MOVEMENT that I so eagerly want to see will last beyond the ebb of the tide of emotion. It needs a firm foundation. Emotion will never be a firm foundation. Emotions change too easily, and too frequently. I concede that fact.
