I just have to share my thoughts this morning, after seeing a post from a Bud supporter. It was posted that since Bud has been in office several people are thrilled with the fact that there are more officers patrolling neighborhoods than there were under David Davenport. Yes I suppose there are. There are countless number of volunteers who devote hours of their lives patrolling these neighborhoods. They are called out daily and log just as many hours as those on the payroll. They volunteer because they love what they do and they want to aid in making our community safe. But, what happens when one of these volunteers, after graduating from the police academy with honors, asks for a job with the sheriffs office that he volunteered so much time with? He is publicly bashed and humiliated among his peers. It is stated that he is too old to be hired. Was he too old to do the exact same job for free? Absolutely not! I am so over hearing the praises of those supporting Bud because they are too blind to see through the corruption. Edna Stewart Coleman
