I just read The Blade article on Real Men Read-y program. Yes, its 435am and I am on it! Make sure you read it today and you will glow with pride with what OUR young professionals are doing to assist at- risk black boys who attend Leverette school. I wont go into detail about this program which has many great community partners. I am privileged to know many of these outstanding men who are a part of the African American Initiative of United Way of Greater Toledo. I am also blessed to sit on the United Way board and to be an officer of this fine organization which serves three counties. Toledo the African American Initiative also has a membership of energetic and creative young women who also work to assist in the education of our youth who are the future . Hats off to Rhonda Sewell for being a visionary, outstanding strategic writer and speaker. A Greek Sister and friend. I am so proud of each member of AAI and especially those that I have had the opportunity to work with or meet while at Fifth Third Bank, Owens Illinois or WTOL -TV. Toledo there are great things going on in our city. Lets celebrate what we have that is right in front of us and support our young professional men and women and Toledo Public Schools.
