I just walked through the MHS doors for the last time as a student. It was definitely overwhelming and a very sad moment. On my first day in that school as I seventh grader, I wouldnt have even come close to predicting what has happened over these passed five years. I wouldnt have been able to tell you that I got detentions about once every three weeks that year, that my best friend would end up passing away in a car accident, that I would move to a different school for a boy and end up making the best family I will ever have there, that I would come back to become the little delinquent that I was, that I would meet the most amazing guy and eventually marry him, that I would give birth to the most amazing, beautiful little girl. All before I turned 17. Theres a lot of things that have definitely surprised me. But you know what I CAN tell you? that I will finish. I will set the example for my daughter to be the best at everything she does, even when she fails. That its ok to make mistakes. In my case, Ive made many. But ya know, 80% of the time our mistakes end up being a blessing in disguise. Even though I wont be able to share the stage with those that I have grown up with, grown close to and apart from, I will still do what I have to do to give Haidyn everything she deserves. I want to tell all my Macombie Homies that as anxious as you are to get the hell out of this place, dont rush it. It will be great to leave but it will be even greater to come home. Here I come Idaho!
