I just want to share with all my Facebook friends and those who care about me and my family; I went to visit my mother today down at the Lehigh Valley Hospital. She underwent heart surgery yesterday to replace a valve. Shes 86 years of age and she came through the surgery with flying colors.! its because of the so many friends like you all out there who took the time to pray for mother , to contact us , either through mail , phone call , email , posts on Facebook with genuine love and concern for mother, that helped see not only her but all of us through the last 24 hours. Its where individuals gain your strength ! From the love of God and from the love of friends. Today I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into her room and saw her sitting up in a chair and getting ready to be moved from intensive care unit up stairs to the transitional heart unit in a room of her own! Now this was not even 24 hours out of surgery for an 86-year-old woman !!! absolutely phenomenal! She has excellent color, she is as sharp as a tack. She had a full meal for lunch and she was ordering a nice dinner for her evening meal. They removed the oxygen from her and her vital signs are unbelievable. The nurses and the doctors just cannot get over how extremely well she is doing. And I for one cannot tell you how very proud of her I am and how grateful I am to God that he has blessed us with such an extraordinary woman that we call mother. I want to thank everybody for the calls text messages emails regarding her health and her well-being. It is monumental to me to my family to know that so many people love our mother and care so much about her. And believe it or not shes making big brownie points with the nursing staff down there already! Once again thank You.
