When my brother was about 18 months old, he bit my finger until it - TopicsExpress

When my brother was about 18 months old, he bit my finger until it drew blood, then kicked me in the shin with his hard, old school white Stride-Rite shoes my mother insisted he wear. In that moment, I knew little brothers served no purpose in life. When he went off to MO West, he got to go with ALL the bells and whistles; new lap top, new wardrobe, new tv...AND HE GOT TO TAKE HIS CAR! I went to Mizzouwith my old Hickman gear, a few notebooks...and a boombox. And no car. As you can see, having a little brother who is nearly 10 years younger than me was no picnic. Today, however, my brother is getting married to Katie Silver. At first, I was super nervous about this. I thought my brother lacked the refinement needed to be a husband to someone as beautiful, smart, and loving as Katie. He was sure to bite her on the finger and kick her in she shin. I was concerned for her safety! And then I saw Robby Jr Malone for the man he really is. He is college-educated. He is employed. He babysits the old beagle when we are gone, and she is always alive when we return. Hes genuinely friendly and outgoing. He has good friends--friends that compliment his sense of humor (which I find to be odd, but hey...). He is helpful with good intentions, and most importantly (even though he refuses to sing any hymns in church), I know Christ dwells in his heart. Today my bubbies is getting married to Katie, and I couldnt be more happy! You know, because now I get the little sister I REALLY wanted in the first place. Happy Wedding day, bubbies!
