I just wanted to take a minute and ask everyone who prays to lift up a friend of ours whose dad is now living on Gods clock. His name is William Carpenter and he is somewhere in his eighties..such a sweet man. He and his wife Ethel have been married for I think about 60 years! They became a part of our extended family quite a few years ago, and William has given us many precious memories. He has always been a great farmer, always having beautiful fresh produce and always so generous with it. He loved to sit and talk ,especially about fishing! I kept remembering all day at work what I witnessed last night when Peggy and I went to visit him. Miss Ethel decided to bring Mr. William home instead of taking him to Hospice and has put up a bed in their home. I watched as she so very lovingly took care of him last night een though we could tell she was exhausted. He never took his tired eyes off her and even held on to her when he could. I could just feel the devotion and love between the two of them! In these times when couples find it so very hard to co-exist, I so very hope some of them get to witness first-hand what true love and devotion looks like. Mr. Williams daughters, Linda and Retia, are also there to give everything they can to make him as comfortable as possible and need prayers and encouragement. So, please remember this whole family when you are on your knees. God Bless and thanks.
