I know Im asking to be called The Grinch or Mr. Scrooge by saying this, but I think we need to remember that not everyones love language is receiving gifts. The best Christmas and birthday and even anniversary I could have would involve no gifts for me. Of course, I feel that showing love to others is very important and if a person feels most loved when receiving gifts, then they better get gifts from their loved ones. I, however, just want quality family time and acceptance to feel loved and remember Jesus on Christmas. Really! When i get Christmas gifts from people, I feel bad for them because they spent time and money and energy on me. That just makes me kind of sad, though I do appreciate every effort made in being nice to me. But if Im weird on Christmas, this is why. Im just a different personality I guess. So Bah humbug! There, hopefully this year I just get a good piece of coal to light to keep my toes (and heart apparently) warm.
