I know a lot of parents try to shelter their children from the sad and traumatic things in this world thinking that they are protecting them from something.... But how is a child supposed to learn compassion and gratitude if they are not exposed to those who have less than they do. How are we to teach our children true gratefulness when we dont give them real and visual examples of how quickly everything they have can be taken away! I showed this video to all of my sons (3-8 years old) and you would not believe the difference....the compassion they now feel for children who have less than they do...one of them even got teary eyed and others with sincere looks of concern.
