I know my posts have been about stress lately, and its mainly because Ive been battling anxiety and stress myself. On October 18, my husband broke his leg in two places and is now out of work (without pay) until December or January. Before all that happened, my healthy diet was wavering, but it wasnt too far from clean, but now, Im craving nothing but sugar. Its almost as bad as when I was pregnant and only ate Oreos. It doesnt matter what it is, if the main ingredient is sugar than Ive been slamming it in my face and not even thinking about what Im doing. Now that things are calming down, his staples are out and hes moving around a little bit better, Im finally able to get back to Zumba class and focus a little more on myself. I still dont have a lot of time for me, working two jobs and taking care oft daughter and husband, but Im trying to really battle this sugar monster and get him back under control. With all that said, this is a great read. It really is amazing how stress and anxiety can effect the way your brain and body functions. Something to really think about if your going through a rough time and battling your own sugar monster. Reminder, I have a group to start a sugar detox tomorrow. Completely free.
