I love my bird feeders, I have been feeding the birds for years. I ensure when the weather turns that their feeders are full and ready to supply their needs. Every year at first snow fall I sit and watch from the warmth of my home as they come and go. I smile as some take such care to pick the perfect seed, while others are so skittish that they land, grab, and fly off in one swift motion. Every year The Lord reminds me as I sit and watch the show of His wonderful promise to me. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matt 6:26) I have watched over the years and searched them to see if they worry. I have seen some worry over the occasional cat that has tried to make my feeders their hunting grounds. But I have yet to detect any kind of worry that the food that they need will be present. Not only is there food but there is a bounty of food for them to choose from. They can choose sunflower seeds, thistle seeds, or they can enjoy the suet block. They do not have to worry if I will fill the feeders, they just come. Hmmmm ... As I wrote that last sentence I saw such a parallel as to how our prayer life should be. We do not need to worry if HE will provide for our needs, we just need to come to HIM! Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ? (Matthew 6:27) He values you, He loves you, He wants you to come to Him and believe that He will provide for your needs.
