I love the back roads ... the big red barn where daddy did his work the river where he took us fishin afterwards the sunshine shimmering down from heaven above the water cascading over rocks and stone I love the back roads ... ranches and farms and small town diners barbershops and general stores folks tippin their hats and sayin hello families and faces flashin through my mind a part of me still even after all this time I love the back roads ... wherever they may lead thats okay with me each new place each new face each hill I go over each bridge that I cross each discovery I make each turn that I take always takes me down an old country road that leads me back to you its the heart of the America I know and love and still call home ~ poem The Heart of America by Michael Traveler And on pretty much every back road, theres a barn ...
