I love the fact that Zimbabwean parents are tough and they get angry when their children are not top of the class. They have that much belief in their kids. Recently I was asked by a friend of different nationality what gift I gave to my son for acing his GCSEs. My response was should I give him a gift for doing what he is supposed to? Within the Zimbabwean culture there are no ceilings. Limits are a foreign concept. We can do whatever we put our mind to. I dont even think Zimbabweans are hyper ambitious We were just raised by parents who believed we could. Excellence is the minimum.
