I loved watching Joan host the Tonight show as a kid, and would run around the house screaming can we talk in my best 9 year old voice. As a comedian I am in awe of her hustle and was completely inspired by her resilience when she kept marching on even after a the loss of her husband and her shows. It was an honor to even be able to submit my jokes for Fashion police and have Joan read them. I loved that she wasnt limited in her thinking about her brand and reach. She was the first celebrity on QVC selling jewelry.. I still have the bumble bee broach my mom bought me. What I loved most is her strength of charter, to find humor in the darkest hour. The documentary of her life is like a small window in to what this woman was to many people. I will never forget that scene in the movie, there was a wall of library cards filled with 3x5 card parked in to tiny files filled with hundreds of thousands of jokes. Mind boggling. Joan you will be missed and I thank you as a comic and woman for making a way when there wasnt one yet and for making me laugh. Rest in peace.
