I might live in the south, but I certainly have a northern heart. I see so many odd/weird dishes on here, like opossum, frog legs, and other things I would never think to cook. Sorry if this is a repeat post, but how did you come up with some of the recipes? Was it a family meal passed down from generation to generation? I guess CI reminds people of the pioneer days when all you had to eat was what you caught outside. What is the weirdest thing you have cooked in your cast iron?
