I missed our Weighty Wednesday yesterday so thought Id make up for it today. Cats are at a large risk of obesity, they are generally less active than the pet dog (we dont bring them for regular walks generally!) SO in the case of an overweight cat, diet it the best way to deal with the extra weight gain. Normal foods reduced can take a long time to see any result and at times dont work , so the best protocol is to get your cat on a specific weight reducing diet. These foods are designed to help the cat lose weight and can be used long term or short term. The cat will get a good daily allowance of food but it isnt packed with the extra calories regular foods are, usually there is a good fibre content which helps the cat feel fuller without the extra pounds packing on. But again, as Im always saying, the diet (and all foods!) work best when weighted and measured out
