I must admit that the social media has allowed many girls to express their views. Though I am quite often not in agreement with what they are saying I am glad that they have space to say it. It allows us to understand their opinion and exchange our views with them. Even male students surprisingly air their views more freely on FB than in class. I wish all the students spoke their mind freely in class presentations also. It would result in lively discussions with those of their age group. Old teachers like me have difficulty in being on the same wave length and discussions with their classmates would result in more fruitful conclusions.
