I need a grocery store trip badly, but Jon is on shift today and there is NO way Im tackling Publix on a rainy day like this with 3 toddlers.... So I went to the pantry to inspect our dinner options. Tucked in the back it stared at me. That blue box, with a yellow smiley face... The Mac n Cheese. I was not happy about it, but it was there...and the kids like it...and Im not above it...so... Well there I was...already feeling guilty about the 4 tbsp of butter that it calls for, when Mav decides he wants to help. Can I put in the cheese mommy?! Sure, baby. Its right there I said, pointing to the already torn open white packet that sat on the edge of the counter. Where mommy? I dont see it? I tapped the white packet with my finger and said, this is the cheese buddy! I handed it to him and then turned around to get the bowl. When I was facing him again, he wore a completely bewildered expression. But, mommy...this isnt cheese...its...powder or something Youre right kiddo. No...no...honey...its cheese. I mean, it turns into cheese... I said, poorly hiding my own disgust at the process. Wow! How does it do that? It...the butter...when the milk...and then you stir.. The phone rings and its Queenie and Papa Bear. Theyre at 4 Rivers and they want to know if we want anything. Yes. Yes we do. #savedbythegrandparents
