I needed this today. Its very disheartening to hear dr after dr come in and say they are not sure how this happened to Ty and the chances of recovery. Dr Boop came in and racked his brain and went thru the MRI with us and showed us the one, very small spot, that showed up on the scan that correlates to his symptoms. At this point that doesnt matter, what does is what we can do now for Tyty. Ty is not medically cleared to leave for rehab, but we are hopeful that he will be in a few days. He is on the regular neuro floor and we are working on moving into a room with a walk in shower. I cannot even mention a bath to him bc he gets upset and asks to shower, so you know what Im going to do, make it happen. Therapy has went well for him today. I picked that boy up and put him in his wheelchair. He has twitched both legs(involuntarily) numerous times and did actually resist with his right leg a little during stretches. The good thing is that he has good tone in both his legs. The stretches hurt him and it hurts me to the heart I have to do that to him, but we gotta keep those legs ready. I have been so ugly today to everyone(except Tyler) and Nathan, thankfully is calling me out on it. I just needed to step back and PRAY and be thankful. I am going to start a grateful board in Tylers room and each day we will go thru and write what we are grateful for. This verse has helped me so much today Romans 5:3-5 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
