I never thought of cycling to work before. It just happened a year plus ago when my 11-years old Wira broke down and stranded in the parking lot. Then, i left no choice to use public transport to go to work. The distance from home to office is only 7km. In order to save money, i chose to use bus which only cost me Rm4 for both ways. However, i spent more hours of waiting for the bus to come and i had to stand in bus most of the time. For 20 days of working in a month, i spent only Rm80.00 but i spent hours of waiting and standing in the bus. There were several occasions which it took me about 3 hours to reach home due to traffic jam and bus delay. One day, i thought of cycling to work due to my frustration. I invested on a Rm700 folding bike and started to cycle to work. Every month, I save about Rm300 on car fuel, Rm200 on parking fee, and time too. Cycle to work for 7km distance within 30 minutes is not too much. In addition, I get to stay healthy in cycling and save the fuel money with parking fee too. After a year of cycling to work, I still enjoy cycling to work today and will keep doing it for many years. Nevertheless, I m glad that I saved Rm6000 or more a year! #JimatJimatMcD
