I notice each week that my mum is taking significant steps forward in her recovery from three hospitalisations including coma, broken hip, operation and minor heart attacks while in surgery over the last two or so months. She doesnt notice the difference, but I do. Having been seen her recover from an earlier broken hip this year I can compare her progress. Today I noticed another sign that shows shes getting better. She had some moments of bossiness this afternoon. Good that shes getting better, but I do not like bossiness at all - at work, in community groups, at home, with friendships, or with parents. Nowhere is bossiness ok with me! My mum is a sweet lady, but sometimes it was tough when I was live in carer with my folks and she was in bossy mode. I sure hope its a passing phase. Fortunately it was just a few short moments, but it triggered a reaction in me.
