I often read the words, Retired Reverend (Name). I do not understand this. I have never retired. If a church called me to be a pastor, assistant pastor, Bible teacher, help hold a revival, or any other work in the church, I would respond immediately. Yes, I know I am not doing anything now, but I have not put myself out to pasture, other people may have. Do you agree that ministers are never supposed to retire until the Lord calls them home? Disabled minister can preach in a chair -- member of the church could transport them if they could not drive -- I just cannot understand that.
