I passed by the control room today, where even my furtive imagination always gets stunned by all the advanced computers and technological equipment. “Come on I said to myself, Imagine A 100 TV screens laid out before me. My mind insisted. So I looked up. People. Rooms. Hallways. Drs. Monitors. Parking. Every camera... Wheelchairs. Bald people. Crutches. ER. OR. Bloody floors. A crying woman. A huddled family. A Nurse out one screen. Into another. Waiting rooms. Then, suddenly, a young man hops in an elevator, looks straight into the lens, as if at me, smiles, and waves. There, I became speechless. I started to wave but my vision blurred, and I had to rip my eyes off. When the world stopped running, I saw that I was in that same control room. Nothing different than only a few seconds ago, except now, I know that even when I am by myself, away and alone, I can make contact, and be happy, at someone elses light mood. Hope floats everywhere.
