I posted this earlier without knowing much about it, but I think this is a BIG deal... Examine the evidence below if you want, but Multnomah is partnering with AAAS over what is clearly a BIG science grant. Not only that, but according to Multnomahs own blog, the grant will provide resources to integrate science into select core courses, such as systematic theology, biblical studies, church history and pastoral theology. The conflict here is that future pastors, chaplains, and clergy (like me) are studying theology from a University which openly affirms God created and governs all things. [sic] (See Link 1) But with money from a $1.5 million dollar grant (link 3) from an organization which openly affirms that ...as plants and animals and man are concerned -- No scientific generalization is more strongly supported by thoroughly tested evidences than is that of organic evolution. [sic] (Link 2) 1 + -1 = $1.5 million dollars to do what again? Figure out how God invented evolution? Judge for yourself: 1. Article II of Multnomah Universitys Doctrinal Statement (multnomah.edu/about/doctrinal-statement/) 2. AAASs clear and undeniable endorsement of evolution (archives.aaas.org/docs/resolutions.php?doc_id=450) 3. A $1.5 million dollar grant from AAAS (multnomah.edu/blog/2014/12/02/multnomah-biblical-seminary-awarded-national-science-seminaries-grant/) 4. Christian News Northwests coverage of the controversy (cnnw/creation-science-group-troubled-by-study-grant-to-multnomah/)
