I received my Winter tax bill from the City. The personal property taxes for the shop were lower than past years and I am not complaining! The amount due is so low it makes me wonder how much it costs to administer my account, to print and mail a bill and process the payment? Could you reasonably estimate 1 employee at 1 hour to handle the whole transaction? What happens when the amount due is less than the cost to process the tax received? Is the City actually losing money by taxing me? As much as I hate taxes, they are needed to fund BC and Im willing to pay my fair share but, like I said, this particular Winter tax is so low I dont know why they go to the trouble of asking for it??? Again, Im not complaining, just askin! #auditcomin
