I recently was given the compliment of being a one trick pony with respect to Pac-Man. From the outset I never intended to expand my expertise beyond Pac-Man, or more generally some titles within the Pac family. I enjoy playing many classic arcade titles, but couldnt care if I am less than stellar in most or even all of them. I have tremendous respect for those like Don Hayes and Jimmy-Big Jim Linderman, who have exhibited tremendous skill and achievement on a plethora of classic arcade titles. I have nothing but admiration for those who can marathon titles for days on end, such as John McAllister(Asteroids), Tim McVey(Nibbler), Richard Carter(Nibbler), George Leutz(Q-Bert), Joel West(Frenzy), John Salter(Armor Attack), Victor Sandberg(Missile Command), and others. I have had people tell me that they hate Pac-Man for any number of reasons, and I am totally fine with that. Honestly, I dont really talk about games that I am no good at, nor do I wish to belittle titles I have no interest in. I will marvel at those who have the skill and stamina to completely crush and obliterate those games. Craig Ihlendorf recently rocked out on Ice Cold Beer, something that is beyond impressive and which I admire greatly. Whether you are a one trick pony like me, or a jack of all trades, lets continue to support this hobby of ours and foster the spirit of community. Take care and God bless, David Race
