I refer to your e-mail to my colleagues in Environmental - TopicsExpress

I refer to your e-mail to my colleagues in Environmental Protection regarding the above issue. I am sorry for the delay in reply. I thought I had responded to you directly, but clearly I have not done so. The survey is being carried out across a wide area of the Borough and does not require planning permission as it is classed as Permitted Development. However, the Survey Company does have to inform me of how, where and when the survey will be carried out. Work is done at the weekends and the Engineers try to avoid built up areas during the weekend but there will be times when this is unavoidable. The survey will not cause damage to property and once it has passed an area it will not return. Local residents are informed by the Engineers on the day the survey passes their homes. A press notice was placed in the local press and Parish Councils and Local Councillors notified in advance of the commencement of work. I trust this information proves helpful, but tdo contact me if you require further information.
