I sat in one of my classes today in which the topic was “BULLYING” Learning how teachers can read a student if they are BULLIED emotionally and physically and mentally…and how as teachers can we help students in this circumstance. I am amazed at how much bullying goes in schools that it affects children’s lives. Young children at the age of 13 take their own lives because of this issue. We looked at different outcomes on how parents and teachers can help children that are bully’s and those that are affected by bullying. The increase of deaths in regards to bullying has increased. My question is; where as parents have we failed, where are we as teachers failing and where in the education system is it failing without any problems caused between student, parent and the school????? How can we help…I watched true stories about bullying in our lecture and there was half the lecture class in tears. How can we stop this issue from happening to your child or to other children? I didn’t really take much notice on the issue of Bullying but today it has opened my eyes.
