I see something under the sun, how is it that we pay much tribute - TopicsExpress

I see something under the sun, how is it that we pay much tribute to the power of sin than to the power and life that is available to us who believe by reason of the cross. There is the tendency that when we see the cross, all we remember is sin. All that the law and its sacrifices that were required accomplished was and is still a constant reminder of sin and the guilt that envelopes its captive. (Hebrews 10) On the contrary, the cross is not just a reminder that we have been atoned for, it is also a clear picture depicting the Fathers heart. Even as gory and bloody as we think and most times see the cross, it remains a beautiful love story of how far the Father is willing to go just to pour and make His love available to us. The cross not only effected our atonement, it ushered us into a new and living way. . . And still the Father calls us to look upon that cross and live. . . . Grace became the consequence of that blood-stained cross, grace that made us sons who were before the cross, objects of Gods wrath. Grace raised the bar, grace called us to higher places. Grace brought with it what we could and can never achieve for ourselves irrespective of the amount of rightness we try so desperately(and fail woefully) to obtain outside Christ Jesus. . . .Salvation. Remove your eyes therefore from the law and gaze upon the beauty of the cross, open up your eyes and with outstretched arms, freely receive the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of our ever-faithful God and the sweet unending fellowship with the Holy Spirit. There is no amount of understanding of the law That will make you understand or appreciate grace, if grace has not been revealed to you, you cant understand grace. Grace is not part of a curriculum, its not something one learns. Grace has to be revealed to you and very progressively. The scriptures say the the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to us, teaching us to say a bold NO to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, (Titus 2:11-12). The grace of God does indeed raise the standard, grace can never be a license or excuse or whatever it is called, to live a substandard life, a life of sin. . .
