I shared this article on my page with this message, and was happy to see such a great response. If we all stopped focusing on the flaws, and instead embraced our uniqueness, maybe we could gain a bit more happiness and leave that extra mental capacity to do other positive things. If you are a woman, you should read this. Hell, guys should read it too. Let me be completely honest and perfectly clear here. The last few months have been a roller coaster for my body. I started having gallbladder attacks and had to have laparoscopic surgery to have it removed. Im now taking part in the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. Finally, Im starting to get back to loving the skin Im in. Its not just that Im losing weight I had gained, its that Im gaining confidence and seeing all the things I had wished would change, finally happen. And it takes work! Its not something that magically happens. Ive had to learn that and had to see it for myself, especially how that what I put into my body actually matters. However, my real challenge is to learn that I am beautiful. And so are you. It devastates me to hear my stunning sister talk bad about her body. However, at 17, I did the same. I compared myself to all the size 0 girls and hated my curves, which others praised me for. I didnt listen. I was stubborn and lost hope of ever being as small as society deemed acceptable. So I let myself go. It took years to understand I will never be a stick. Its not who I am and its not an obtainable goal. My advice is to listen to the compliments. Forget the hate. Life is too short to worry how others view you. If you are happy with who are, youll project that and others will be able to see it too. You cant deny confidence, and you deserve to be confident in yourself. So please hold your head high and remember one very important thing: You are beautiful, no matter what they say. Thank you, Christina Aguilera, for trying to teach us that, but shame on me for not taking it seriously all those years ago.
