Past continuous passive: He was being told about the new arrangements when I left. Past perfect active: She had told Mark how to do it earlier. Past perfect passive: He had been told the new targets weeks before we held the meeting. Past perfect continuous active: She had been telling the truth all along. Past perfect continuous passive: He had been being told the best way to deal with the problem the whole time. Present simple active: He sometimes tells lies.
