I struggle as an artist and I expect no less--- If youre not breaking a sweat, youre not making an improvement. But what I find most challenging is not creating, but rather exposing. Getting people to give an honest listen is the most challenging part of being a local musician. Most people judge a local album permanently based on the first 30 seconds of the first track. Theres a huge portion of people who want to support for the sake of it, so they buy a local album, but it never leaves the case. They support, but they dont connect. And I appreciate the gesture of support beyond what you realize... but I dont continuously struggle so that people can say kudos. I struggle in an attempt to do for others what great music has done for me. I dont do this to self promote or to make a quick buck. My musics goal has always been that of all great art: to inspire deep feelings and thought in the viewer. Thats why this album is FREE to stream. Its a gift that aims simply to connect. Im not saying my music will resonate with everyone, but do me a favor sometime, and give this record an honest chance. Why not now? Just hit play. -M.
