I swear, Loren and I have had the same conversation EVERY SINGLE WEEK for 32 years. Me: I am going to the grocery store. If you want anything write it on the list. Loren:unintelligible mumbling. This is repeated several times in the hours and minutes leading up to the actual shopping trip. I get to the store and NOTHING on the list is in his writing. So I assume he plans to fast for the week Fine, more snack money for me. . I get home and Loren: You didnt get me anything at the store!!! (in his cranky/distressed/sad all at the same time voice). Me: you didnt write anything on the list. Why are these simple instructions so hard to follow?? If someone told me I could have anything I wanted and all I had to do was write it on a piece of paper and it would show up in my home, Id be writing away! Sheesh!!
