I think a post-trip update is in order, so here goes... My friend Melinda Lalach and I traveled to Europe for a month to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday. We did two tours and visited 9 countries. Our 2-week Italy tour was fabulous and the highlight of the trip. My favourite places there were Pisa and Venice, and my gondola ride was a lot of fun. Our second tour took us to parts of the former Yugoslavia. My favourite place here was Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Its like a mini version of Prague and just as beautiful. Driving along the Adriatic coast in Croatia was a highlight, and I loved Plitvice National Park with all of its waterfalls. In the middle of our trip, it rained for about 10 days. I did take my umbrella with plans to use it in England, but used it everywhere else instead. :) One other fun fact: I tried 22 flavours of gelato while on the trip, and my favourite was banana - it tasted just like banana cream pie. Yum! Thanks to everyone who followed along on our trip commenting on and liking our pictures. There are a lot more to come!
