I think it really takes several days to get in the true casual - TopicsExpress

I think it really takes several days to get in the true casual disposition for a vacation. Today is Day Four. Yesterday exhausted everyone, so we all trickled out of bed late (that means 7am for me and 9:30am for others). After some housekeeping and laundry, we sauntered out to the beach again for a more gentle weather day. Lots of water, but not a ridiculous amount. We explored a marshy inlet at the west end of our little bay and followed that up with a less mild romp in the waves. It simply amazes me how warm it is here! It has always seemed such a damp, chilly part of the state, but we had a spectacular day! With only a few mild showers, the day was again full of puffy white and gray clouds. I had determined upon leaving the house that this would be a hiking day (no wet shoes and jeans). As soon as the water seeps through our shoes and socks, everyone (except David) is instantly in the water. Even Jeff dipped his toes...ok, it was more like the entire lower half of him. When we finally got home from our walk. I started more laundry. The kids played Apples to Apples somewhere in the day, read books, watched a Lord of the Rings movie (it really does have a decent sound track), and played music. I flaked out all afternoon. I have hit my limit for extroversion and now need to introvert for a while. The majesty of Gods creation continues to overwhelm me and the ocean will never grow old. Every wave is brand new and every cloud unique. I am thankful for a few pictures for when the days are dark this winter. May you have blessings from God, from our peaceful peninsula, to you...
