I think we are mixing these 2 different things together Gifts, skills, talents etc. are distinct from SALVATION (which is only God’s approval for Eternal life). Your talent, skill and gift are yours and you are fully in charge of how to use it and who to use it for, whether for God or for worldly applause, gratification and wealth which is tantamount to Satan. For instance, I Opeyemi, beside the fact that I am an artist, I also have a gift/skill of writing. I love writing songs, plays, news and stuff like that even long before JESUS CHRIST saved my soul. Now, I can choose to be writing terrible stuff that will encourage people to remain stiff-necked and I will be getting my applause, fame and all that. Now the thing is this, God bestowed upon us different and special gifts at creation, we are now in charge to decide if we are going to be grateful by using our talents to get people closer to their maker or ungrateful by releasing our gifts in exchange for wealth and fame with Satan, and be using it to get people closer to him. But one thing is certain, ‘We Shall Give Account to The Giver of Gifts on the Last Day’ Lastly, no one can ever get the purpose of his/her life right except him/her come to Jesus Christ. Friends, please give your life to Jesus Christ.
