I took a kick ass class on Advanced LinkedIn through Worksource - TopicsExpress

I took a kick ass class on Advanced LinkedIn through Worksource today (free to the public). Im amazed at what I didnt know. (Example: Want to contact someone outside your network and dont want to pay? Join a group they are in. You can contact them for free through the group channel.) Worksource only teaches the advanced class once a month, and its during the day, but totally worth checking out. Specifically, I was seeking advice for my LinkedIn presence. Its heavy on food recommendations/contacts but the real job that brings in money is in the financial arena. How do I represent those very diverse sides? Option 1. Create a separate account with a nickname 2. Minimize/delete the food stuff. (What do you want prospective employers to see?) 3. Write a really good header explaining it. (Least favorite option.) LinkedIn guru says, Its tough because with a resume you can have different ones for different reasons. LinkedIn doesnt work like that. Tell me about it.....Non-traditional path? Bites.
