I took this photograph during my trekking in Himalaya in Sikkim, India, in October 2010. From my childhood I was thrilled by paintings of N. Roerich, famous russian painter, who traveled to Himalaya at the beginning of 20th century. His pictures impressed me by intense colors of blue mountains, which I can not see elsewhere. The desire to see those impressive landscapes and colors myself was driving me to visit Himalaya, which realized in 2010. We stayed overnight at the Tshoka village, which is located on the track at height of 3,000m. I woke up before the light of dawn started to color surroundings. It was magical to wait in silence, listening to birds and seeing mountains changing their colors with every minute.
