I used to go see these guys at a club in Rochester.And I would always sit up front n watch Scott Ambush slay that bass.At the time I couldnt n didnt want to play like that...but after seeing Scott like five times n talking with him at the bar.I decided to try it out...now being I play left handed upside down I couldnt pop up with my little finger.So I tried something totally different I took my pick n I hugged way up on it like Billy Gibbons does for ZZ Top n got that what they call under water picking sound.And to MY SURPRISE I could get the same sound that slapping bass players get like Scott.I had to get up more speed to get to the G string n I did.Scott reminds me of the incredible Phil Maphey from Watertown n the monster Steve Morley from there also.Steve probably is one of the best bassist around but he wont put it out there...trust me on this one...Ive seen the boy cut loose.
