I very much regret to inform you that my performance schedule for the next 3-4 weeks has been canceled. Under the advice of my doctors, the only possibility to rid myself once and for all of this extremely aggravating virus I have been shlepping around for the past months, is to stop and rest. You can imagine my regrets, most importantly my frustration at having to disappoint those of you who have been looking forward to one of these future performances. I often council my younger colleagues, you never get well by singing, or that if you have an ailment in your throat, the best advice is to stop dead in your tracks and get over it. Unfortunately, Im afraid, I myself have recently been more a case of the pardoners tale“. But it is now time to face my recovery time head on and move on. I confidently look forward to returning to my very full and grateful performance schedule as soon as possible and I deeply appreciate your support and patience. - Thomas Hampson
